After almost two months in Turkey, we eventually cross into Georgia and discover a new country with plenty of ambiguities. In this episode we drive into the Greater Caucasus Mountains till Ushguli, admiring the traditional tower homes throughout the Svaneti. Generally, we find everywhere interesting Soviet remnants, most though in a decadent or poorly maintained state. Lastly, we visit the cave monastery of Vardzia, a city-labyrinth once built for the fabled queen Tamar.
