46.19112, 9.026575
The castles of Castelgrande, Montebello, and Sasso Corbaro formed a fortified barrier at the entrance to the Alps. They are fine examples of medieval fortifications with battlements, a gateway, and towers. They are a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Castlegrande is situated on a rocky peak overlooking the valley and has fortified walls that connect with the Montebello Castle. The Sassa Corbaro Castle is situated on an individual promontory southeast from the other castles.
